The National Prescribing Service (NPS) is a non-profit organisation independent of government and the pharmaceutical industry. The NPS program focuses on the delivery of education and resources about the Quality Use of Medicines to GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists and consumers.

The following activities are available to GPs, Nurses and Pharmacists. For remote GPs, the Network offers teleconference or video-conference technology:

One-on-one practice visits (~30 minutes)
GPs are visited by our Consultant Pharmacist to discuss how current evidence on specific therapeutic topics translates into quality prescribing for patients. Practice Nurses are welcome to join these sessions.

Case study discussions (~30 – 60 mins)
Case Studies are available for individual or group discussion. Other health professionals working in the practice are welcome to attend these sessions.
