Allied Health Services for Midwest Residential Aged Care Facilities

The Department of Health has continued to fund the Aged Care Access Initiative until 30 June 2010. The $14,000 received for clinical service delivery is being used to fund Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy and Mental Health Therapy sessions to residents in Midwest Aged Care Facilities in line with the ACAI Program Needs Analysis.

Seven healthcare professionals have been recruited to provide services at the following facilities:-

• Geraldton Nursing Home
• Hillcrest, Geraldton
• Meekatharra Frail Aged Hostel
• Mullewa Health Service
• North Midlands Health Service, Three Springs
• Dongara/Eneabba/Mingenew/Leeman Health Service
• Morawa/Perenjori Health Service
