Midwest GP Network covers an area over almost 400,000 square kilometres. From Exmouth in the north, to Jurien in the south and inland to Meekatharra

Midwest GP Network - delivering local health solutions through general practice -

is a member of Australian General Practice Network. AGPN is the peak body representing 111 local organisations (Divisions) as well as eight state-based entities.

More than 90% of GPs and an increasing number of practice nurses and allied health professionals are members of their local Division.

The Network is involved in a wide range of activities including health promotion, early intervention and prevention strategies, chronic disease management, medical education and workforce support.

By delivering local health solutions through general practice, we aim to ensure all Australians can access a high quality health system.

From the 8 to the 12 February 2010, Midwest GP Network is organising the Sexual Health Foundation Week for Regional Nurses. Family Planning WA will present a five day course is suitable for nurses and other health professionals wishing to develop a sound understanding of core sexual and reproductive health issues, and skills to work effectively with individuals to promote sexual health.

Midwest Allied Mental Health Counselling Service
Midwest GP Network’s employment of two additional psychologists will enable community members diagnosed with a mental illness who are located in the areas of the Midwest, Murchison & Gascoyne region, access to a psychological service.
